Ahhh. Finally. Finally!!!!!!!!!!
it’s been way too long since I was able to run and feel great about running.
backtracking a bit- almost 2 weeks ago (to be precise, 9/14 Wednesday), I hurt my knees by running on the treadmill at home.
9/15 Thursday- worked on my abs only
9/16 Friday- yoga only
9/17 Saturday- attempted to go for a run and not even 0.1 mile into it, I turned around. Nope. Not taking any chances with that nagging pain in my knee. So I did yoga and ab workout.
9/18 Sunday- Rest day
9/19 Monday- Abs and Legs
9/20 Tuesday- Rest
9/21 Wednesday- Strength training
9/22 Thursday- seriously sleep deprived (from welcoming a new pup)/ rest day
9/24 Saturday- Rest day (too many things to do; I worked myself to the bone (as Mr. B later said). I was pooped)
9/25 Sunday- 2.7 mile run @ 9:21/ave pace. HORRIBLE horrible run.. Had to walk back home all miserable. My body said fudge you. the entire time.
I was that silly looking woman running like crazy up the hill and down the hill with a smile, sometimes getting emotional, sometimes just singing along to my music…. ohhhhh that joy. Even though the run started off with a little beat of heat and humidity, it wasn’t bad at all! Tried to stay in the shade (not really successful) but the fact that I was running without any pain was just amazing.
I missed this feeling!
